i first saw the Squirrels in 1984 in some parking lot on the east side...I think it was bellevue. Then I saw them with REAL members instead of the Young Fresh Fellows as the band with the "deranged" front man. That was in 1985 at the Hall of Fame and I think it was Joey Kline's first appearance as a Squirrel. They had stage names like Ella Fitz Memory and Mahat MaGumby and Bolt Upright. Sympathy Cards opened and it remains one of the most entertaining shows I've seen to date! First saw said deranged frontman in the Pudz in the summer of '81. Hard to believe that was 27 years ago. In fact, I believe it was at that show that Rob's nephew, then about 6 yrs old was in attendance and was "out boogying" eveyone there! He mimicked Rob's every move and it was very cute! Aah, memories. Wish you guys were playing the Sea food fest this year or any where this summer. Speaking of concerts, anyone going to see God this Saturday? More commonly known as Ray Davies? I paid $40 f
or tha
t ticket. Not too many people I'd pay that much, but he is my God. Now I come to learn that Gogol Bordello is c oming in Oct. Those tix will go fast and I'm broke til the 25th! AARRGGHH!!!
