[Mael-list] RE: Mael-list Digest, Vol 16, Issue 8

This is a really interesting topic; I was mentioning to a like minded friend
a little while ago about drug references in Sparks songs and there are a
couple of noteworthy entries here for me, the first being the song The
Willys, which I believe to be a song about paranoia sustained through
smoking weed. Bit of a contraversial conclusion, you may think but it would
explain the line, 'morally he is lax' at the end of the song. Whether Ron
and/or Russell have ever tried mind bending drugs remains a mystery, but I
think their homeland and their slightly psychadelic musical past could
possibly mean they tried it in their youth (but did they inahale?)
Second drugs reference - the song Fill 'Er Up, but it's more observational
I feel.
