I had a close friend die Monday, so I forgot all about this.

Luckily my Tivo didn't forget, so I was able to see it.

I never watch this show - I just fast-forwarded until I saw Sparks.  Nice to
see 'em.  Nice to see 'em get some good exposure on US television.  Makes me
look forward to the upcoming LA show!

For those outside of the US, Sparks (just the Mael brothers alone) played a
brief segment from "Perfume."  Just basic keyboards and vocals.  Still great
stuff, even without the full band/sound.

The concept was that town was overrun by people singing in the streets, due
to some talent agency giving a contract to a local guy who used to sing on
the corner.  Now everyone was hoping for the same, including these two Mael
brothers (who aren't referred to by name - they're just 2 guys on one
corner).

I'm sure there were other celebrity singers doing similar guest spots, but
I'm not up on who's who in the pop world these days, so I didn't recognize
anyone else...

So lets think of ways to get our boys on more TV sitcoms/dramas...

Its too late to get them to be the band playing at the election day rally
for the candidates of West Wing - we missed that chance...

Maybe for an episode of "Commander in Chief" where the kids throw a party,
and because of their address, they trick Sparks into "performing at the
White House"...
