It seems these Sparks videos just go to waste...

It just strikes me as odd.  I mean, the music videos are made for promotion
of the band and the album.  Isn't it the goal to get the videos played as
often as possible, wherever possible, to promote the album?  I'd think
having fans download and distribute the video to their friends would help in
such promotion.
