Bad analogy. A movie theatre is a closed environment where admission is
charged for access. The net is not a closed environment, providing open
access.

Don't buy it (no pun intended). This law as you call it is open to
intrepretation in differant countries, as in Canada and Russia, and even
France.  So if you want to stick with your restrictive interpretations go
for it, but I find it excessively moralistic and preachy. And for any artist
(and record company) that objects to the downloading and saving and copying
of sub-standard music in any form in their catolouge,   I call that attitude
piggish.

Not everyone has broadband, and can get broadband, which IMO makes the
viewing of streaming videos restrictive and elitist.
