Well - if history is any indication, Dick Around could be No. 1 within days.
The interview with R & R on BBC Radio London this morning opened with a playing of Perfume. Why???
It would appear that the BBC have judged Dick Around as unsuitable for airplay!!!! I think the current Net abbreviation is FFS!!!!
Ron and Russell's irritation was palpable - understandable when you get up at 6am to promote something that no-one can hear. I don't know whether this is a 'watershed' restriction or a blanket ban - and not sure how to find out.
All we can hope is that, as with the Sex Pistols 'God Save The Queen' and Frankie GTH 'Relax' - the record buying public descend in droves to snap up this piece of aural filth and decadence to hear for themselves.
I'm sure there is a duty-desk at the BBC where even if we can't get answers, we can register our indignation. I'm on the case.
See you all on Saturday?
John
