[Mael-list] How to capture from YouTube?

I use a thing called VDownloader, which I couldn't find at the URL displayed on the Help page, or anywhere else, so I put it up here, for a brief time. CNET used to host it, so I doubt there is any kind of malware inside. Download the ZIP file here:

It allows you to save to MPEG or AVI, and I use it almost every day. Occasionally, it will start saying that it can't download a certain link: Just shut the application down, restart, and it'll work again. Some bugs maybe, but works great (oxymoronic, I know).

  Now that we've tried both
  http://www.benjaminstrahs.com/itube.php
  and
  http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php
we realized that unfortunately the quality
(picture + sound) is *much* worse than "live" via YouTube.

Does anyone know a better alternative?
