I have to apologise! I should have reported that Russell let slip in
Moscow that they are half way through the new album, and are spending the
rest of the year completing it.

Sorry I've not reported back earlier - but it's all been a bit hectic!

I might also know the title of one of the tracks, but if I told anyone I'd
have to kill you!

The Russian audience were amazing. They loved every minute and I can see
why Ron and Russell decided to go back. Russell's voice was on top form -
and it was so nice to break away from the set format 'Hello Young Lovers'
first half and greatest hits second half.

The first show started with Ron's 'Hi Ho' - a welcome return. And then
went straight into Achoo.

The second night was 'Sparks Show' - followed by Happy Hunting Ground.

All my Christmases had come at once:)

On the first night, they were presented with Aeroflot uniforms by a group
of Russian fans. They wore them for the encore on the second night. I
think that will have elevated then to the status of national heroes. Ron
looked great in the cap, and the audience went berserk!

Dick Around, Perfume and Waterproof were woven 'en bloc' into the set -
and worked really really well.

The band really enjoyed themselves - and Josh is off to join the Red Hot
Chilli Peppers as we speak.

I'm sure noone wants to see pictures of me hobnobbing with the band
afterwards - but if the Russian girl who gave me a lovely note and then
vanished is lurking out there - thank you so much!

If anyone wants more detail I'll try and dredge my memory banks - I'm
afraid a lot of it is now drowned in an excess of authentic Vodka.

But Moscow - wow! What a town. Highly recommended - even without Sparks.
Although unfortunately I don't think I can guarantee that the temperature
will always be between 30 & 35 degrees. It wasn't just the band that were
hot!

Love to all

John
