And just in case "they" are listening, fellow LA compatriots The Circle
Jerks had a great idea a few years back - they didn't hire a professional
film crew to film their show at the Anaheim House of Blues - they had a
handful of friends (or so it appeared) with camcorders.  After all - its
relatively easy to get the visual of the band on stage.  As long as your
main focus is getting quality audio, the video can be secondary.

And another clever thing the Circle Jerks did with their DVD was to enable a
seldom-used feature - the ability to switch camera angles during the
concert.  This feature alone is not only really cool, but I think it can do
a lot to put a dent in possible pirating of the disc.

And then, of course, if there are special guest stars during the Plagiarism
show, that would be a nice promotional extra for any possible DVD...
