This comment is outright genius, but then I've got a particularly
savage sense of humor.
It is true that not being familiar with areas can make you either more
or less cautious. I remember my husband visiting me in New Orleans
when I still lived in the US and him being PETRIFIED in the French
Quarter. Granted, it's not the safest place on Earth, but this was on
a very public, well-traveled street with a bunch of Goth kids running
around. On the other hand, the first time I visited Canada a brash
homeless guy berated us to buy some socks and I thought I would pass
out from fear. Still, Canada is Disneyland compared to New Orleans in
terms of assaults, murders, etc.

Yes thank you. I guess it's the whole thing of not being familiar with
it, I dare say after the tour I will be quite familiar with the tube.
(note to self. Go easy on the fake tan, leave my backpack at home and
no running).
