[Mael-list] 21x21 Recorded?

As someone active in "taper friendly" music trading scenes, I make
the following assumptions:

- It is very likely that at least a few people will smuggle in mikes,
DAT recorders, and other "stealth" taping equipment, and that the
shows may show up on the internet as a result
- Sparks is considering allowing open audience taping, as the
resulting spreading of the Sparks meme is in their best interest
- Sparks may be considering releasing proper mixed soundboards such
as Phish, GD, SCI, WSP, et al have done. If they do this, they will
also be considering making them available online, again as the
aforementioned bands have done (see www.livedownloads.com for examples).
- Sparks will have the sense to make online downloads available in
lossless (ie, FLAC) in addition to lossy MP3s.

I would certainly consider purchasing some or all of the shows if the
soundboards are commercially released, and if they're not, will be
looking for the audience tapes to show up at sites like DIME.

Gordon (who lives in Western North America and wishes he could go to
even a single one of these 21 shows....)
