Please take the survey. I know we are the more well off stations, but we
all have less than 5 employees and are small in comparison to the big
boys. If you do know of small licensed stations please get them to take
the survey today.

This message is specific to those working with FCC licensed radio stations
and is URGENT!

The FCC has proposed regulations that would require FCC licensed radio
stations to, complete extensive paperwork, post and maintain their public
files on-line, develop advisory boards which could influence programming,
staff the station during all hours of operation, report playlists, report
the reasons for selecting song and potentially require stations to relocate
their studios. Further it could decide license renewals based upon the
information provided.

College Broadcasters, Inc. (CBI) will be filing comments on these proposed
new regulations by the FCC imposed deadline of 4/28/2008. In order to
support our comments, we have developed a survey of stations, which is
available at the CBI web site (http://www.askcbi.org). Additionally, we
have emailed our contact list and asked them to respond to the survey.

CBI has also provided stations with a template of comments that stations can
file with the FCC. This template, along with filing instructions is
available at http://www.askcbi.org. It is vitally important to all stations
that the FCC hears from you concerning the impact of these requirements on
your station. The survey is one means of letting your voice be heard. The
other means is the submission of the template. Both are vital to the cause!

Comments are due on Monday, 4/28/2008! We need you to complete the survey
ASAP in order to include your responses in our comments! Unfortunately that
means that we need to ask you to complete the survey NOW! We also ask that
you submit the template provided at http://www.askcbi.org by Monday.

By our count there are less than 400 FCC licensed college stations that are
student facilities. Each year, we see stations either being sold or their
license being given away in various forms. These potential new regulations
are likely to hasten the decline in the number of FCC licensed student radio
stations. Please take a few minutes to participate in the survey and to
submit the CBI provided template of comments to the FCC.
