I could also care less really if they're ever huge again... I like being able to get tickets to shows. It'd be great if people gave them more recognition, but if they don't, who cares... I could care less if they're on TRL or iPod commercials or the background music to Pimp My Ride... that's not what it's all about. If you like the music and you can get the music, and they still tour over here, that's all I want. Morning Glory was a time and a place for me... I'll always love it for that, but I also remember the hordes and hordes of people who were like "hey it's that band that does Wonderwall!"
I'm not putting any huge expectations on the new album... the good thing about oasis taking so long on the past couple of albums is that you grow to appreciate all the other music out there. Take it for what it is... I'm sure it'll be good regardless. But I'm not expecting another Morning Glory, nor would I want to.
Cheers,
Travis

Well alright...
We've got a little reaction going on here. My first post and I've stirred
up the pot a bit. Listen, I just wanted to get the list back on track and
maybe create a buzz for the new album. It seemed very stale other than the
links to the video and mp3 for Lyla. Keep on bumbing your gums. I want to
see some more activity here. We all have our expectations and our wishful
thoughts that maybe this might be the one that puts Oasis back on the
"mainstream" map. But if it doesn't happen, who cares. I don't give two
f---- if they get that recognition (in the US). It would be nice, but I'm
guessing all of the other bands we like are also under the radar. The main
thing is that the album is solid. Something that we can listen to without
skipping a track. They've already proven their salt by selling out some
major US gigs. Hopefully they'll keep on adding dates to their fall tour.
Nice to see the responses
With two more two cents
