I don't think his point was that he can outwrite Oasis, but that (in this
case), Oasis underwrote him. In other words, they may sell out stadiums and
be making millions... but it isn't because of Lyla. It's because of their
(in my opinion) far superior back catalogue.

My main objection to Lyla is that I think it's their weakest first single
so far. My reaction to the first single off one of their albums has been
pretty much indicative of my reaction to the album as a whole. At least, as
far as the last three albums went. I was blown away by DYKWIM? and The
Hindu Times - and both albums equally impressed me. I liked Go Let It Out,
but wasn't overly excited about it - and that was my reaction to SOTSOG as
a whole. I just hope Don't Believe The Truth breaks that pattern and
impresses me a lot more than Lyla does.

Ignignokt: You and your third dimension.
Frylock: What about it?
Ignignokt: Nothing. It's cute. We have five.
Err: Th...thousand!
Ignignokt: Yes, five thousand.
Err: Don't question it.
