[Whatever] Lyla thoughts

I too fall into the category of someone who posts very infrequently. That
said I am very bummed out by the new single. I cant believe how
insignificant the song sounds. I have played it 20 or 30 times already and
it just does nothing for me. I hope that this is not an indication re: the
album at large. It is possible that they released this track as an attempt
to bring in a new listener. We will not know the answer I guess until we
have the CD in hand.
I guess I was hoping that they would come up with something that rocks like
U2s Vertigo. The 3 year wait has been tortuous for me and we are given a
very whimsical 4 minute pop song. Regardless I will be in the 4th row at
MSG and making the trip to Manchester once again. The gigs will be
fantastic as always.
I realize that some have noted that they have no desire to see Oasis make a
return to their mid 90s level of popularity. This is a fair point but it
would be nice for them to get a gold CD here in the states and sell 500K or
so. Their profile here is pretty much non existent. I am totally fired up
to se them at the Garden. Although (as much as it pains me to admit) the
inclusion of Jet on the bill went a long way in helping to sell those
tickets so quickly.
