Sure, they're simple, but to me simple does not necessarily equal weak. They're kind of catchy, in my opinion.

  Subject: [Whatever] Liam's songs

I have excitedly waited for the new album as much as anyone else, but am I the only one who thinks that Liam's songs are the weakest ones on the album? Granted, these songs are a little more mature than Little James, but come on, the lyrics and chords are elementary at best. I've tried giving them an honest listen but get so bored half way through that it's just easier skipping past them.

Don't get me wrong, Liam is distinctively talented as a vocalist. His raspy voice and swagger are a big part of why I love this band. But the inclusion of his songs on this album alongside the tracks written by his obviously more skilled songwriting bandmates makes me feel like Noel was pressured into using Liam's song to keep the peace or something! If nothing else, Liam's songs make everyone else's contributions that much better (except Mucky Fingers - blech!)

Still looking forward to seeing them this month though!

  Just my two cents.
  Joanna
