Mucky Fingers has grown on me quite a bit. I love the
crunchy "organic" guitar sound + harmonica + piano, as
well as Noel's delivery of lines like "back of your
mind" and "buttons and bows."

I feel that Noel's contributions to this album are
absolutely flawless and fantastic. Of course I would
since I’m a Noel fanatic. Even when the lyrics are
simple, like on Lyla or Let The Be Love, they’re still
well written.

What I love about this album, and Oasis in general, is
that they can borrow from their influences, sound like
their influences, yet stay completely authentic and
write original sounding songs. They’re familiar
sounding, but original.

Let There Be Love, for example, could pass as a
Beatles tune in my mind – it could have been written
by Lennon – yet it doesn’t sound like anything Lennon
ever wrote. That’s exceptional. I mean, who wouldn’t
want to write a John Lennon song?
