Well, I would heartily agree with that. The record is a stunner.
I think it's a bit too easy to read all the songs as being about Brett and
Bernard, though. They aren't that far afield of most of Brett's previous
lyrical obsessions. I think, if anything, the lyrics are akin to the plain
approach of A NEW MORNING, only now freed up to be as simple as Brett wanted
because they don't have the weight of the Suede moniker around their necks.
